SWFTA is key partner in £14.8m award for Plymouth History Centre Project

South West Film & TV Archive based in Plymouth is delighted to announce that they have been awarded over £14.8m to deliver the Plymouth History Centre Project in partnership with Plymouth City Council heritage teams, the South West Image Bank and Plymouth University.

SWFTA, Director, Stacey Anderson explains that the £14.8m award was the largest in the country, representing 27% of the £55m total committed at their July national trustees meeting. This funding is supported by over £4m from the Arts Council, £128k from the Wolfson Foundation, over £8m committed funds by PCC.and other funds with a combined total of around £34m.

This project has been a long time in development and the official announcement on 15th August 2016 represents the culmination of many years hard work and planning. SWFTA is delighted to be a key partner in the project and Stacey is look forward to keeping FAUK members up to date with progress.
