The UEA’s report, ‘Invisible Innovators', making women filmmakers visible across the UK’s Film Archives is now available. It has been commissioned by Film Archives UK to explore the current scale and scope of the holdings of women’s amateur filmmaking within the regional and national film and media archives and to investigate ways of optimising their visibility. 6.3.20

FAUK members are heading to Bonny Scotland for their next quarterly meeting – to Bo’ness on the south banks of the Firth of Forth for the annual Silent Film Festival – HippFest 2018. With a packed programme of screenings, workshops and discussions, many are taking the opportunity to extend their visit to take in some of the events and visit the area.

FAUK are also delighted to have been invited by the Festival’s Director, Alison Strauss, to take part in the programme and on Thursday 22nd March, 4.15pm some members will take part in ‘Meet the Film Archives’ in the Bo’ness Bakery – the perfect place for tea and cake while you join in!
